The AFMD is committed to e-accessibility

The AFMD wants to make its communication tools available to as many people as possible, regardless of their visual, motor or cognitive skills.

What is e-accessibility?

The international Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) defines web accessibility as follows:
"Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can use the Web. More specifically, they can perceive, understand, navigate and interact with the Web, and they can contribute on the Web. Web accessibility also benefits others, including older people whose abilities may change with age.
Web accessibility includes all disabilities that affect access to the Web, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive and neurological disabilities."

AFMD is committed to making its website accessible

The AFMD has undertaken two actions to facilitate navigation.

First, the site design was based on recommendations from the Référentiel Général d’Accessibilité pour les Administrations (RGAA).
The AFMD has also equipped the site with the FACIL'iti digital accessibility solution. This tool provides the device (computer, tablet, smartphone) with an optimised display of website contents for by the user, based on their needs, whether navigational or comfort.
The AFMD site can be adapted for several types of visual handicaps (achromatic, cataract, colour blindness, wet AMD, visual impairment, presbyopia ...), motor (osteoarthritis, Wilson's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, essential tremor ...) or cognitive (dyslexia, photosensitive epilepsy ...).

For example: modification of click areas for users with Parkinson's tremors, design adaptation for seniors, enlarged fonts for the visually impaired, colour changes for the colour-blind...

To use this solution on our site:

1- click on the FACIL'iti logo located at the bottom of the page or go to https: //ws.facil-iti.com/
2- Create your profile in one click or customise your features and settings.
3- Once your profile has been created, you can close the FACIL'iti website and return to our site. It will then be completely adapted to your needs. Your profile will automatically apply to the AFMD website as well as on all sites that have installed FACIL’iti.

This service is completely free and unlimited for internet users.
